About the Milford, Dingmans Ferry and Matamoras, Pennsylvania Area

The Milford, Dingman's Ferry, and Matamoras area has boomed in the last couple of years. Recent growth in schools, businesses, and homes has made this area a prime target for all sort of commercializing. Situated in between New York City NY and Philadelphia PA, this area could be excellent for families or businesses.

The Milford, Dingman's Ferry, and Matamoras area has easy access to such roads as I-84, 739, Rt. 206, and Rt. 6. You can get practically anywhere! It is a great suburban environment with loads of things to do. You'll never be bored!

Such attractions as Grey Towers, the scenic Delaware River, the Columns Museum, the festivals that take place annually in Milford; such as the Milford Music Festival and the Black Bear Film Festival, and many many more!

This area is rich in history and tradition. The Dimmick Inn has been the center of Milford for over a century, providing great food and a great atmosphere for all who visit. The refurbished Hotel Fauchere's has become one of the beautiful antique buildings of Milford. Grey Towers has been the center of tourism since John F. Kennedy made it a national historic landmark in 1963. Once inhabited by the Pinchot family, Grey Towers has recently been restored to its former brilliance in hope that the visitors will enjoy it. Gifford Pinchot, popular Pennsylvania governor and first Chief Forester, lived here with his wife Corenlia for decades. Come and here their story throughout the summer, and possibly run into James Pinchot! For more information please go to
www.pinchot.org/gt or call 570-296-9630.

Another historical landmark is the Columns Museum. It contains many different kinds of artifacts, including its most prized piece, the flag which President Lincoln's head was placed on as he lay dying after he was shot by John Wilkes Booth in Ford's Theater in 1865. There is a room dedicated to Charles Sanders Peirce, mathmematician, scientist, and founder of "pragmatism." The Hiawatha stagecoach, Native American artifacts, Civil War artifacts, historic farm tools and firearms, vintage gowns and uniforms, photo albums and old letters, musical instruments, kitchenware, along with special seasonal exhibits make the Columns Museum a must see! For more information call 570-296-8126.

Real Estate Tips
Selling Your Home >Marketing

When you list your home for sale, you and your agent must work as partners to ensure it sells as quickly as possible, and for the best price. While you take the necessary steps to make your property look good inside and out, your real estate agent will go to work to make sure your home is exposed to qualified buyers.

Real estate agents work with each seller to develop a written marketing plan. This enables you to know what your agent is doing to sell your home and what you can expect to happen while your property is on the market. It will also include suggestions on how to make your home sell. There will be regular communication between you and your real estate agent from the day the listing agreement is signed. The agent will give you progress reports and feedback from the people who have seen your home. You will also have frequent opportunities to ask questions and discuss changes in the marketing strategy.
